Plastic Antenna

Plastic Antenna..? these guys must be mad! Sure we are – in certain meaning of the word. Actually, plastic as material has unbeatable properties which can be successfully used in antenna construction.

First, Plastic Antenna is extremely lightweight. If you think aluminium is lightweight enough, the plastic will beat aluminium at any time. Weight of our Direct 27-5G Parabolic Dish Antenna is below 1.5kg. Most of our antennas weight just fragment of this figure. This brings multiple benefits when climbing the roof and performing an installation. Extremely low weight also significantly lowers overall mast load and improves wind resistance.

Second, Plastic Antenna is weatherproof and durable. Many other manufacturers claim the same about their products, but this antennas are really built to last. They resist temperatures from -40 to +70 degrees celsius and (-40 to +150 degrees fahrenheit) are excellent in UV resistance by using multi layer UV protection. They resist to all chemicals you can normally find in atmosphere, as well as big cities environment – including exhaust gas, fly ash, smog, sea humidity and bird droppings. Their lightweight and excellent mechanical properties of ABS plastic even improve resistance against ice storms or strong winds. Due to its natural low thermal and electrical conductivity they have less predisposition to create ice-coating than any antennas constructed from metal.

Third, Plastic Antenna is cost effective. Shipping costs if calculated on volume and weight are lower than any other antennas. The purchase cost of the antenna is probably higher, but on TCO /Total Costs of Ownership/ performance, plastic antenna is unbeatable. You will eliminate the costs related to maintenance or upgrades related to our plastic antennas virtually to zero. You will install them and they will keep working. It is so simple.
